Respect in Sport
Respect in Sport is a mandated program the AMHA supports in conjunction with BC Hockey and Hockey Canada. The number one reason for coaches leaving the sport is unacceptable parent behaviour. As such, there are two versions of the Respect in Sport program:
1) Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders. All Coaches, HCSP, Managers and Team Officials are required to be certified with this course.
2) Respect in Sport for Parents. This program empowers parents to ensure the safety of their child's experience in the game.
** Please note RIS expires every 5 years.
