Welcome to Hockey 1

(Players Born in 2012)

H1 Players receive 2 practices per week (Saturday and Sunday) with the focus on skill development and promoting a FUN environment.  Please review our Initiation Skills Program overview here for a detailed summary of the program.

The H1 season will begin on September 23rd.  Please refer back to this site often as the schedule times/information will be updated over the next few weeks.

Important Information to note before the season begins:

  • We will require a few volunteers to help during the season.  We will need a Manager and an HCSP (Health & Safety Person).  A Manager will help with things like communicating information to our families, organizing the team for picture day or getting the team registered for a jamboree.   The HCSP is required to be at every ice time for the H1 players and is responsible for keeping players medical information handy and ensuring that the first aid kit is at each and every ice time.  This role is not a difficult job, however you will have to complete an online program that will take you a couple of hours.  If you are interested in volunteering for either of these positions please let us know.

  • If you haven't done so already, please register your child with EPact prior to the start of the season.  Please refer to the AMHA Memo outlining the details - EPact Memo

  • Players must wear full equipment to every ice session.  If your child is missing anything they will NOT be permitted on the ice.  For a list of all required equipment please see the list below.

  • We recommend that you label all equipment with your child's name.  Dressing rooms can get quite crowded and sometimes gear does get left behind or placed accidently in someone else's hockey bag.
